COLLECTIONS:
- CIRCULATION:located in the elevation part of the library. Books are arranged in cup boards subject-wise.
- REFERENCE COLLECTION:The reference collection includes dictionaries, encyclopedias, biographies and other types of reference materials of a general as well as specialized nature. These materials are not for Circulation.
- RESERVED COLLECTION:Books and other materials assigned by the teachers for a specific course may be placed on reserve to facilitate their use by a large number of students.
A Valid ID is required to check out references and reserved materials.
- PERIODICALS:Current and unbound periodicals are located on the main floor. Periodicals do not circulate. They are displayed on wooden stand cum storage cabinet. A list of all periodicals is available.
- NEWS PAPERS:Current issues of national state and regional newspapers are located in the current periodicals area.
- AUDIO-VISUAL COLLECTION:The library does not have a rich collection of AV materials but understands the need to get some E-Books. Some “TALKING DICTIONRIES” in our collection speak out the need felt. Library is equipped with CD – RW drives and speakers for effective use.
- POPULAR BROWSING COLLECTION:A good collection of popular paperback novels and non fiction is maintained for recreational interests of the library users. Donations to this collection are welcome.

General Rules of the Library
- Entry into the library is strictly to the bona-fide students and staff of the college and with the Identity card.
- Library users are required to treat materials and facilities with respect and to conduct themselves in a manner that will not disturb or offend others who may be using the library for study or research.
- Loud or boisterous behavior or conversation has no place in the library.
- Quiet study areas should be respected with appropriate and considerate behavior.
- Students are expected to return the borrowed materials within the designated length of time. The check-out period for reference books is fourteen days. Books may be renewed as often as needed, unless there has been a request for a particular item.
- Reference, audio-visuals, periodicals and some reserve materials are to be used inside the library only.
- Use of mobile phone inside the library is strictly prohibited. In urgency, keeping mobiles in a silent mode is advised.
- Library users are expected to adhere to the library policies while using the library equipment and resources. It is the policy of the college to provide all students and staff with access to computers and internet facility. In return, we expect such technologies are used in legally and ethically appropriate manners.
- Food and drinks are not permitted in the library.
- Please do not re-shelve any books and periodicals after use. Return the materials to their proper locations as promptly as possible.
Library Services And Facilities
- INFORMATION SERVICES: The circulation and reference services are the focal point of the library services. Both the services are available all-through the library working hours except on Saturdays the reference services are mere optional.
- OPAC: Students and staff may access the bibliographic information through the OPAC facility of the library software “SOUL”.
COMPUTER FACILITY
There are three computers in the library one being completely provided for the students as a work station with access to a printer cum scanner. All are equipped with DVD/CD/ RW drive. The equipment may be used to view and listen to materials from the library collections. Photo copying of past question papers of the university examinations and syllabus and reference books are allowed. (Terms and conditions apply)
